Building Independence, Expanding Horizons
Welcome to the Intermediate Phase — a time of greater discovery, deeper learning, and building independence. In Grades 4 and 5 at POPPS, we bridge the gap between foundational skills and the more formal academic journey ahead. Our programme supports young learners to think critically, take responsibility for their learning, and grow socially and emotionally, while still enjoying the creativity and innovation that make school fun.
Why Parents Choose Intermediate Phase at POPPS
- A learning environment that balances academic challenge with support, ensuring learners are encouraged, not pressured.
- Teachers who understand this transitional phase and provide guidance as children gain independence and confidence.
- A curriculum that encourages children to think beyond just “getting answers” — they learn why, how, and what they can do with knowledge.
- Strong focus on values, character building and social skills, preparing children not just for exams, but for life beyond the classroom.
